Amma’s Colorado devotees are practicing bhajans for the Albuquerque program this year. It is such an honor and wonderful experience to be able to sing for Amma! Colorado Springs satsang hosts, Arun and Pat, are coordinating this special program and practice sessions. If you would like to sing for Amma this June, please contact your satsang leader or Arun and Pat (phone 719-635-5734 or email at hejmadiarun@pcisys.net) for the details as soon as possible. We have lyrics and sheet music available for you to practice at home and with your satsangs. There will be a final group practice in Albuquerque.
We are planning another huge garage sale this August with proceeds to benefit Amma’s charities on August 4th and 5th. Start thinking about what you would like to donate to the sale and how you would like to help. Sale items may be dropped off in advance between now and the actual sale dates. We will accept just about anything as long as it is in good condition, however, only limited amounts of gently used good quality clothing will be accepted. In order to make it possible for more people to see Amma in Albuquerque this June, we will be putting program attendees in touch with each other who need to share, or are available to share, rides and rooms. So, if you need a ride and/or roomshare, or if you have either to offer, please email Arati at Aratiamma@gmail.com, giving your name, email address, phone number and where you live (or need your ride from). She will organize the lists and put you in contact with each other.
Amma will hold public programs on Saturday and Sunday, June 23rd and 24th at the Hotel Albuquerque, followed by a retreat on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with Devi Bhava starting at 7PM on Wednesday night. Go to Amma.org for online retreat registration which should start soon.
The next IAM (Integrated Amrita Meditation) Course will be held on July 8th at 10AM at the home of Dhanya Rohde. Please call Dhanya at (303) 467-4077 to register and for more information. The class will be taught by Peter Yellen and is open to anyone 16 years or older. Bring a friend!
For anyone WHO HAS ALREADY TAKEN THE IAM COURSE, we are starting a once a month group IAM meditation practice, also held at Dhanya’s home. The group will meet the first Sunday at 10:30AM and will be ready to start meditation at 11AM sharp (no one will be admitted between 11AM and 11:45AM!) At noon, the group will perform archana, followed by a potluck and other activities. All are welcome to join at noon. Our first group meditation will be held on May 6th.
